Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Port Talbot (SA13)

Salary: £45,000 £65,000 per annum (based on competency and experience)

Permanent

Full time: Monday Friday

As an Electrical Project Engineer, youll be at the forefront of this transformation. What youll do

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and deliver electrical engineering projects across the full lifecycle – from feasibility and design through to build, commissioning, and handover.
  • Develop robust project plans, technical specifications and requests for quotations.
  • Oversee contractors and OEM partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Lead and document safety studies (risk assessments, HAZOP, FMEA) and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide expert technical input, troubleshooting and problem-solving support to internal teams.
  • Represent the organisation with professionalism when liaising with external stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering and Chartered Engineer status (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong industry experience (Heavy industrial/Manufacturing/large scale engineering environments)
  • Solid understanding of project management techniques, risk assessments, and UK health and Safety legislation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill.
  • High level of engineering competency in electrical disciplines.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
